Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in 2026

Manitoba nominates people who have a genuine connection to the province. Its program has three main pathways.

How selection works

Everyone in the Skilled Worker and International Education streams first submits an Expression of Interest (EOI). Manitoba then issues a Letter of Advice to Apply to selected candidates.

In 2026, Manitoba's Skilled Worker draws have largely invited candidates who were directly invited under a strategic recruitment initiative (for example, employer services, Francophone community, or regional communities initiatives), or through a temporary federal work permit policy for prospective nominees. That means a Manitoba connection is central. The Skilled Worker Overseas pathway needs an established Manitoba connection or a direct invitation, and outside applicants should not assume they can enter the pool without one.
