Pricing Terms, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Consultations
- Fees are payable in advance when you book. You receive a written record of the consultation, its purpose and its fee.
- Cancel with at least 24 hours' notice: full refund minus a 5% administrative fee.
- Cancel within 24 hours of the appointment: no refund.
- One free reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. Later or repeated requests, or requests within 24 hours, forfeit the fee.
- Arriving more than 10 minutes late cancels the appointment without a refund.
Full representation
- Your service agreement sets out the scope, the milestones, the fee for each milestone and when each is due.
- Fees are earned at milestones, and each milestone is invoiced before funds are withdrawn from trust.
- If you end the agreement early, you pay for milestones completed, and any unearned funds held in trust are refunded to you.
- If I end the agreement, for example because information you gave was false or incomplete, earned milestones remain payable and unearned funds are refunded.
- An IRCC refusal, or your decision not to proceed after a milestone is completed, does not by itself entitle you to a refund of fees already earned.
- Refunds are settled before your file is closed.
Government fees and third-party costs
IRCC fees, biometrics, translations, medical exams, language tests, police certificates and school fees are not part of my fee. Your service agreement sets out whether you pay them directly to the authority or provider, or through me. If you pay through me, the money is held in my client account until it is paid out, and any amount not used is refunded to you. Once paid to a government body or third party, these costs are generally not refundable.
Payments in other currencies
International clients are responsible for their own bank and transfer charges.
